Guidelines for forthcoming I.B. Exam.
Questions will be consists of two papers.
Paper one comprises 100 multiple choice type questions.
85- 90 % Questions from G.K. 10-15 questions on simple math and G.I.
THERE WILL BE NO NEGATIVE MARKS.
Paper two will be descriptive type.
You have to write an essay.
1. G.K. – Most of the questions from current affairs( 8 to 10 questions, from one year back to till the month of June),
3 to 4 questions from India’s defence system.
2. G.I. – Mostly easy
3. English- Two passages ( question – answer method)
4. Math – type- easy

Total marks- 200 ( G.K. – 150, MATH- 50 )
As per Admit Card total no. of questions: 100
Question pattern will be – G.K. ( TOTAL QUESTION- 75), Math- Total question – 25
Each question carries two marks.
To qualify you have to score 70 to 75 % marks.
I think 75 % and above score is too good.
G.K. – (45 to 50 questions) 90 to 100 marks.
Math- (20 questions) 40 marks.
Do as many as math.
G.K. – Emphasis on History( mostly Indian struggle movements) , Constitution ( read minutely), General Science, Current affairs(from one year back ), Geo, Life science
Written exam. PART ONE- 1. English- 20 marks. 2. G.K. – 40 Marks. 3. Math- 40 marks
PART TWO- English – 50 marks. 2. Bengali- 5o marks.
having provision of negative marks against the wrong answers in part one.
65 to 70 is a good competitive score in part one. ( Eng- 10 to 12, G.K. – 25, Math – 35)
Score 40 to 50 % marks in part two exam.
Selection will be made on the basis of aggregate marks of part one and part two.
Date of Exam: 05/08/2012 (14:30 hrs TO 16:30 hrs)
SYLLABUS: The written examination will consist of (i) 50 questions on General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning & Numerical Ability (ii) 50 questions on General English and (iii) 50 Questions on Hindi OR English language.The syllabus of the examination will be based on the standards of essential qualification required for the post. The medium for Written Examination will be Hindi or English.

The Screening Test for recruitment to the post of Wardmaster, Grade – III in the Directorate of ESI (MB) Scheme under the Labour Department will be held on the 5th August, 2012 (Sunday) from 12-00 noon to 1-30 p.m.
Syllabus for the Screening Test (200 marks) : Multiple choice objective type questions on :-
(A) General Studies (150 marks): Questions will be set to test GeneralKnowledge of a candidate in different spheres.
(B) Arithmetic (50 marks): Questions will be set on the basis of a syllabus of Madhyamik Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.
Admit Cards for the Screening test will be sent to the eligible candidates by post in due course. Those who do not receive admit cards for the said Screening Test by the 27th July, 2012 at the latest may visit the Commission’s Website (www.pscwb.org.in.) for the purpose of downloading the Duplicate Admit Card’.
