Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) is recruiting 132 boys and girls for the Group C Non-Gazetted posts – “Head Constable (Ministerial)”. Eligible candidates may apply for the posts on prescribed application format within 15-11-2012. The posts were on temporary basis but likely to become permanent. Eligibility norms and requirement in brief is given below —
Head Constable (Ministerial): 132 . (Gen—56; SC—17; ST—09; OBC—31; Ex-Serviceman—19)
Qualification: Higher Secondary (Class 10+2) pass or equivalent
Madhyamik pass with 3yrs of Diploma in Secretarial Practice of Modern Office Practice or Commercial Practice from recognised institutions.
Essential Qualification: Candidates must have typing ability of minimum 30 words per minute in English and 25 words per minute in Hindi. (For SC/ST candidates — 25 words per minute in English and 20 words per minute in Hindi)
Candidates must have basic knowledge of Computer.
Physical Standards: —
Height: For Male—167.5cms; For female—157cms.
Chest (Unexpanded/ Expanded) : For Male—81cms/ 86cms; For females— Not applicable.
Weight: Proportion to height and age as per medical standards.
Eye sight: 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction in distant vision.
(Cut-off in height and chest for ST and candidates from hilly area region is as per norms. Refer the Advt. for details)
Pay scale: Rs.5200—Rs.20200 and Grade pay: Rs.2400
Age Limits: between 18yrs to 25yrs as on 15/11/2012. Upper age relaxation for OBC—3yrs, SC/ST—5yrs, Ex-Serviceman and Others—as per norms.
Candidates who are found eligible in physical measurement test will have to go through Physical Efficiency Test, which will be of followings —
(i) 800 mtrs race to be completed in 3 minutes
(ii) 11 ft Long jump in 3 chances.
(iii) 3.5 ft high jump in 3 chances.
(i) 800 mtrs race to be completed in 4 minutes
(ii) 8 ft Long jump in 3 chances.
(iii) 3 ft high jump in 3 chances.
Selection steps: Selection of the candidates will be through—
I) Documentation and verification
II) Physical Standard Test ( PST)
III) Physical Efficiency Test ( PET)
IV) Written Examination
V) Typing Speed Test
VI) Test of Basic Knowledge in Computer Application
VII) Medical Examination for fitness test.
Written Examination will be of 100 marks on OMR based Answer Sheets on following topics — Hindi/ English, General Knowledge, Arithmetic and Clerical Aptitude. Each topic will be of 25marks.
Application fee: Candidates should prepare Bank Draft or Indian Postal Order (IPO) of Rs.50/– drawn in favour of— Accounts Officer, SHQ, SSB Gorakhpur (UP) payable at SBI Gorakhpur. In case of I.P.O — Accounts Officer, SHQ, SSB Gorakhpur (UP)
Female Candidates/ SC/ST and Ex-Serviceman do not require Application fee.
